Talking with God

Devotional Ponderings No Comments »

Talking with God is like talking to a friend. We can talk to Him at any time and any place, 24/7.

We talk to God in our prayers, which are our conversations alone with Him. God talks to us through the Bible. When we read and ponder the Holy Word of God, we can hear His voice or sense His “nudging.” That nudging is the prompting of His Spirit.

Talking with God is believing that He truly listens to us.

Psalm 66:16 tells us that God listens and hears our voice when our hearts are sincere and pure.

Talking with God is believing that He truly cares about our concerns.

1 Peter 5:7 says to cast “all your cares, all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully.”

Talking with God is believing that He can help us if He so desires.

Psalm 115:3 tells us that our Heavenly Father does whatever pleases Him to do.

Talking with God  is believing that He knows about every minute detail of our lives.

Matthew 10:30 tells us that the very hairs of our head are not only known by God, but they are all numbered.

Talking with God is believing that He wants to do His best for those that believe in Him.

Ephesians 1:5 tells us that God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through His son Christ Jesus. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.

Talking with God is believing that the Holy Spirit lives within each of us, in His holy Sanctuary, where we can go in secret and we can experience a personal relationship with Him.
